Medium to full-bodied, enrobing and energetic, it has a lively, incisive mid-palate with perfectly ripe tannins and good depth at the core. It concludes with a vertical, elegant and ethereal finish enhanced by aromas of dark berries. This stunning Gigondas is a blend of 80% Grenache Noir, 10% Mourvèdre, 5% Cinsault and 5% Syrah, made with a portion of whole bunches (80%). The medium-bodied palate is both elegant and juicy, with impressive depth at the core, a tense mid-palate and fine-grained tannins that flow into a long, ethereal finish, enhanced by chalky dry extract in the aftertaste. A blend of equal parts Grenache and Syrah, it has ripe red and black fruits, some peppery herb, licorice, and garrigue nuances, ripe tannins, and terrific balance. Medium to full-bodied, pure, and remarkably well-balanced, it has a terrific mix of red and almost blue fruits as well as peppery herbs and flowers. Another ripe, sexy, exuberant Gigondas, the 2022 Gigondas Vieilles Vignes reveals a vibrant ruby/purple hue as well as youthful aromatics of black raspberries, sandalwood, ground pepper, and herbes de Provence-like nuances. This sunny, medium to full-bodied 2022 has sweet tannins, a supple, elegant mouthfeel, and a great finish. 92 Points! Vivid and dramatic, this is really open and giving - an explosively fruity style comprising raspberry, strawberry and violet. It’s rounded and juicy, but not terribly deep. Acidity is well balanced, and the fine tannins gently taper on the finish. Partly grown on the Cone, partly among the Dentelles, with Grenache vines up to 60-years-old. All destemmed.
